If the country collapses what will new yorkers eat?

i know that california is pretty much vegetarian...so they'll be fine. and texas loves beef. the midwest ,of course will have plenty...so they'll be all good...will new york survive on paper and light bulbs? i heard concrete actually has some nutritional value.
