I rescued 3 horses!!! can anyone talk with me a little and help me out?

hey ok, i rescued one horse from slaughter about a week ago, a 20+ standardbred gelding, ex racehorse about 15 hands high, then we rescued 2 others from a nearby equine rescue, a 15.2 20 year old quarter horse gelding, and a younger quarter horse mare. i have been working with them nonstop, they are doing very well in there training(retraining) and just wanted to find a few down to earth people out there then can talk with me, give advice and tips, on training for example, and basically i wanna know more about, like my stepfather always says, the tricks of the trade. it would be great to talk with some more horse people out there, there is never too much to learn! lol these horses are doing great, and when they arrived here they were all pretty under weight, and did not get too much attention due to the rescue having a little bit of a hard time, and with the standardbred, no one cared anymore about him, a broker bought him and his mare friend(For 14 years, so i am told) from the slaughter house, but he realized he could not keep them, sadly the gelding was the only one we could take home at the time because the mare had obviously gone through a great deal of pain, and although she was a sweat heart, she was a little too much for us to handle, my mom and younger sister any ways, and though i argued at first, it was the best thing to do, thankfully though she went to another broker, and hopefully she has found a new home. then we got the 2 others, and though the official meeting each other was a bit nerve racking, everything seemed to go well, and we love them very much. so if you have horses, and(or) know a bit about them, i would love to talk with you. thanks, hope to hear from someone soon, your friend, trish
