General American accents: How does the majority feel about them?

Ive always liked the American accent. Its nice and rounded, easy on the ear. But then I've had the company of a lot of Americans in my life, first of all in the Army and then as a musician. Left alone and away from political bullsh*t American and British people generally get on really well. I've never had a bad experience anyway.
