Can you make risotto with california "Kokuho Rose" rice?

This is the kind of rice you can often find in asian supermarkets... it is a medium-short grain rice. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience working with this rice. All the sites I have found mention italian grain... Also, can canned swanson chicken broth be used, or do i need to make my own stock?
